NOTES

When the Marquess of Scarborough brings his family to visit America, US Marshal Jack Dawson is tasked to be their escort as they travel across the country. He had been a guest of the marquess' the two years before, when he'd gone to London to help Scotland Yard stop the Lady Ripper Killer. He had flirted shamelessly with the young and snobbish Kirsty Pruitt and would now be spending the entire summer at close quarters with her as they toured the country.Though the marshal had kissed her senseless a few times now, Kirsty couldn't stand his uncivilized nature and impropriety. He openly flirts with her, stealing kisses in ways no English gentleman would dare try. Even though he is quite handsome, in her eyes, he is horribly unpolished, and she spends every moment she can pestering him. While touring Yellowstone National Park, Kirsty runs off on her own and Jack is forced to chase after her. They become lost in Yellowstone's vast wilderness and Kirsty's pride is quickly replaced with fear. Though Jack finds it amusing that she has learned a lesson in humility, he doesn't want to admit that he's scared too.As they fight to survive, Jack's uncivilized nature becomes the key to saving them, and Kirsty is shamed of her earlier opinion of him. She quickly has to adapt to survive one of the wildest places in America, while relying on what she once despised so much in Jack. They survive the perils of the wild American frontier, and manage to reunite with Kirsty's family, though their feelings for each other have drastically changed. Though the marquess wants to take his family home to England before any more calamities can occur, Kirsty doesn't want to return to her old life, and Jack isn't sure if he wants to see her leave
