NOTES

What is God like? This book focuses on discussing the many attributes of our amazing God. It is written to the author's adult grandchildren to equip them to know God's character so they may be able to share His majesty with their future generations. The format of the book is twofold: First, it is a study of what the Bible says of God's character qualities such as His love, goodness, power, holiness, in addition to sixteen others. Understanding God's attributes motivate us to not only want to know Him more profoundly but to appreciate and devote ourselves more passionately. The second objective explores some of the controversial questions that we as Christians continually get asked. Such as: Why do evil and suffering exist in the world? Is Christ the only way, and what about those who have never heard of Christ? What does it mean that God is a jealous God? 337 pages. Forward by: J.P. Moreland, Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, Talbot School of Theology, Biola University "How Great Thou Art is chock full of deep, broad, and reflective content. It stands out in presenting a biblically based worldview by helping us learn what we Christians should believe, why we should believe these things, and how to weave them into our lives. Moreover, it is teaming with great stories and illustrations and, in general, it is highly accessible. Don't let the subtitle fool you. Yes, this is written as a series of letters to his grandchildren and, thankfully, high school (and some middle school) students can grasp its content. But in my opinion, this book is actually written to adults-moms, dads, grandparents, and all adult believers-so they can learn what they believe and why." About the Author: Richard Fenner served on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ, Int. (Cru) for ten years from 1971-1980. He has since served the Lord as a businessman and as a teacher. He and his wife, Kaylon, have two children and four grandchildren. They are members of Grace Bible Church in College Station Texas
