NOTES

GriefGrief is something that is hard to let go of. We can't help but miss our loved ones. Even though the earthly connection is broken, there still is the spiritual one. We can still talk, speak, and even hear our dearly departed. They come to us in many forms: animals, birds, and insects. They can leave signs letting us know they are there. This is called reincarnation. It is an ancient belief that souls can come to you in times of need or stress. They are transformed into physical things that you can see, hear, and touch. My mother, for example, came back to me as a red cardinal, in my darkest times. She is the guiding force behind this book, "Flying Free". I wrote it about her and I and our bond through heaven and earth.I was finally able to let her go and be free. She can fly to places she has never seen and to help others in need. I am finally okay and able to fly on my own. It helped us both because we are now truly free. I am no longer her burden nor is she mine, I felt I kept her from all she could be, in this life and after. We are both at peace, letting each other go, was the way it was meant to be. Now, I can move on as can she. There was no sadness and tears, just smiles and joy!
