When the young Dael is captured by Devians and then sold as a slave to the Charlogs, his father Pastor sets out to find him in the galaxy. The latter is helped by a Vijnian woman and her ship. On Earth, a hundred thousand years after the Dark Ages, Humanity followed the path of the Rinn'dual and thus abandoned all technology, preferring to develop gifts such as telepathy and telekinesis. Meanwhile, the last Reptilians emerge from their caves, the Zenovian Empire tries to reform, and an extreme threat comes from another galaxy. The various protagonists end up interacting in one way or another, finding Dael, bringing a ruined reptilian planet back to life, welcoming a few billion extragalactics and embarking on a galactic race against the Zenovian agents
