NOTES

Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Book Preview: #1 I was born in Rwanda, a small country in central Africa. I grew up in a loving family, unaware of the world outside my village. I was a happy little girl, unaware of the atrocities happening around me. #2 My parents were teachers, and they believed that the only way to escape poverty was through a good education. They saved money by teaching and farming, and built a house that was modest by Western standards but very luxurious in our village. #3 I had two vehicles in my family, a yellow cross-country motorcycle that my father used to visit schools in the remote mountain villages, and a little car that we used on weekends to go to church and visit relatives. I was devout Roman Catholic, and passed on my beliefs to my children. #4 My parents were very devoted to their village, and they were also devoted to their kids. They spent as much time with us as possible, even when they were tired
