Samantha, a transgender child, suffers at the hand of a sadistic father who beats her. She also has an older sister who tries to protect her whenever she can, even taking the beatings herself sometimes. Until their father goes too far and Samantha calls 911 for help. Her sister is rushed to the hospital, their father is arrested, and she is left in temporary care of one of the police officers. Shortly after leaving Samantha in the kids' waiting room and giving the reception nurse his business card and strict instructions, he and his partner were getting ready to pull out of the parking lot when his cell phone rings. When he answers it, he finds out the hospital is being taken over by potential terrorists
