Inside of ten minutes she'd located something metal; there was a rod that was barely sticking out of the ground. It wasn't sticking up so much that someone would trip over it and she could just barely see it. After she dug and hacked away the weeds that were covering it, she could see that there was a rusty pipe that this rod was in, and if she used something with a hook on it she'd be able to grab it and pull up on it. In the saddlebags of her ATV was a pair of vice-grips, they were always there, so she used them to clamp onto the rod and pull up. As soon as she did this, she felt the weeds and earth next to her move upwards a little
