Early in the twenty-first century, a small town in Northern Wyoming called Sheridan decided it must change how it cares for its elders and it's frail. As more and more retirees arrive to the small town, more and more individuals with disabilities and frailties need home care. In 2004, community leaders caught a glimpse of what their own town's future could become. Upon seeing a video that depicted the very first Green House Project model built for elders in Tupelo, Mississippi, they took on the challenge of creating these new homes. Despite not having institutional support, the community formed a task force and proceeded together to develop their vision. But just as they began to raise the millions of dollars they needed for the project, the economic crisis hit and severely threatened what they might accomplish.
