NOTES

Recently graduating from MIT university Juwan returns home to his old neighborhood in Washington D.C. to search for his ex high school girlfriend Kiesha the woman he loves. The more complex psychological suggestion here is that he comes back because he feels guilty. That guilt comes from him feeling like he abandoned Kiesha, the death of his best friend Angelo, and from the fact that he was able to escape and follow his dreams. It's almost as if he doesn't really believe he deserves to move on, so he must go back and prove it by finding Kiesha. Her dream was to be a ballet dancer for the Alvin Ailee Dance Theater so she could get free of her surroundings. She failed and now Juwan comes back because he's got to prove something to himself. Thus the journey to save her begins but enemies have other ideas in mind for his destiny
