NOTES

I am guessing that the title of this book caught your attention! I suppose you want to read the uncensored dirt on this doctor's wife. I don't blame you. I would too. It's quite juicy. Pat yourself on the back. You have taken your first step in understanding how and why I took the long journey to join a secret society of women better known to the general public as Drs. Wives. I am not sure if you want to become a member of the club or you just want to find out what my membership was all about? It really doesn't matter. I am lending you my guest pass to have a look inside. I can tell you that you will experience the ride of your life, especially where I am concerned. I feel comfortable calling myself a pleasure slave. I was a creature of deliberate diversion. Each sister's experience is different. Please don't allude yourself. It is very hard work to achieve A-List status in the Mrs. MD club. Please don't categorize us as the same. We're not. We do have some things in common. We live most of our lives on our own. We function as both mother and father. We deal with the Dr. Demi-god syndrome. Most of us have more than two children and learn early on in membership that they are our primary responsibility. We are able to buy nice clothes, nice jewelry and drive great cars. We live in big, beautiful houses and take lots of expensive vacations. Ordinary people pay us homage because of the status of the husbands that we chose to marry. From the outside, our worlds look perfect. Please don't be fooled. The lives that we lead and the price that we pay for the comforts that we have are not for the meek hearted. It is hard to be alone all the time. I was a member who couldn't get through my life without complex distractions. I guess I was an intrigue junkie. Others rough it and struggle by themselves. I can tell you my story and permit you to judge my actions for yourself. I often wonder if my circumstances justified my behaviors within this sorority. I can tell you this; in the end, it might not be as glamorous as you think. The next time you meet a Drs. Wife at a luncheon or school affair you might no longer secretly want to be her. I know from the outside that the package looks appealing. If you decide to unwrap it what you find might just change your mind. You can read my story and let me know. I am dying to find out what you really think
