My Review of A Game of Thrones

This is quite possibly the second best book that I have ever read.  It may even replace "Bridge to Terabithia" for the spot of my favorite book.  Now, for the review.

This book has some of the best characters that I have ever seen.  Everyone has their own backstory and goals and the characters found in this book alone rival the numbers of the characters in the entire "Warriors" book series.  Nothing gets confusing as long as you remember the names and everything is consistent.  There are no real flaws with this book that I could find, and there were many creative decisions that I absolutely loved.  This book gets rid of the whole good and evil idea.  There are no completely good characters, except maybe Ser Barristan Selmy, and no completely evil characters, except maybe Ser Gregor Clegane.  Sympathetic and unsympathetic characters are on all sides of the conflict, so the reader has no idea which side to root for.  Nothing is truely set in stone, as even some of the POV characters can die at any moment, and one does close to the end of the book.  There is more than enough comedy for me and enough battles to keep me entertained.  This book always kept me turning the pages, wanting to know what happened next.  All in all, this book deserves five stars out of five.
