Double or nothing: A dying millionaire instructs his lawyer to drop 25 purses on the streets of New York City. Four honest people find them and return them to the lawyer. Under the terms of the will, each of them is given $1,000,000, which they must double within 30 days in order to claim his entire estate. East side of heaven: A man finds himself the father, by proxy, of a ten-month-old baby and becomes involved in the turbulent lives of the child's family. If I had my way: A good-natured construction worker named "Buzz" become a guardian to the orphaned daughter of his killed friend. Here comes the Waves: Twin sisters Rosemary and Susie Allison are successful nightclub performers. Their act is about to come to a close when serious-minded Rosemary announces she's joining the Navy
