Author Guidelines

Upon arrival, authors are asked to sign in. If you wish to read a piece for review you should indicate that on the sign-in form. Reading/Critiquing is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Prior to reading your work, indicate if the piece to be read is intended for publication and where.
  • You may set up the piece with background information, but this should be brief.
  • Note specific problems or questions relating to the piece either before it is read or immediately after and before the silent critiquing process begins.
  • You may read the work aloud, ask another person to read it or ask the group to read it silently.
  • Remain silent until the end of the discussion, then you may comment.
