Summer is here. It's 98 degrees out. You might as well do something different . . . some thing fun. Ravinia is an AWESOME place to see an outdoor concert and they have this initiative this summer that lets High School students see concerts for free!!! Check it out here. Also, ever wanted to try surfing, but then you realized you live in the wonderful (but very landlocked) state of Illinois? Well, why not give Standup Paddleboarding (or SUP-ing) a try!?! It's like a fantastic cross between surfing and kayaking and you don't need any waves or an ocean to do it. There are a few differerent companies that offer SUP rentals in Chicago, and the Great Lakes Board Company offers lessons! Of course, if you just saw the last Harry Potter movie and are sad that this portion of your life is over .... well .... it's not. Visit POTTERMORE and register for some online Harry action! Finally, hear the summer breeze by listening to this song made by a Librarian! Washed Out is a man of books!:
I can not stop downloading various music apps to my iphone. Maybe it's because I love music and, unfortunately, have NOT ONE OUNCE OF MUSICAL TALENT . . . but . . . I like to come across as if I have some musical chops. So I download music apps! Check this one out that takes even the most mundane words from your mouth into a funky song:
Or how about Ocarina, which turns your iphone into a flute: Ocarina!
Or what about the INCREDIBLE Air Guitar MOVE that turns your phone into a guitar, which responds to your strums with the attached pick!?!: MOVE ! Rock the music apps, peeps!
