We're more than books

You already know about the library's collection of books, music and movies, but did you know about our other great services?

We bring the library to you through our bookmobile and library visitor program. We have special equipment that patrons with visual and hearing impairments can use at the library or at home to assist with reading books or enjoying movies.

You can learn English or a world language at the library. Our collection has 17 different languages to choose from.

Library Production Studio's Cable Channel
Programs recorded at the Library Production Studio’s partner libraries (Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Prospect Heights and Skokie) are broadcast through channel 24 on Comcast, Wide Open West and RCN. View this month's program descriptions and listings.

Bookmobile

ESL/Literacy
You can learn English at the library. We have books, special computers and software, tutors or classes to help you improve your English speaking and reading skills, or learn English as a second language.

World Languages
Our collection of world language materials has items for you to enjoy or use to learn one of 17 world languages.

Special Needs
Sign up for delivery of library items for homebound patrons, and learn about equipment, library items and services for people with impaired hearing or vision.
