Michael Connelly may just be my favorite writer. In The Gods of Guilt he kept my glued to the pages. Although readers may figure out "who dunnit it," early on, it's impossible to figure out how the Lincoln Lawyer is going to prove it and win his client's freedom. Unlike many writers with multiple best sellers, Connelly keeps his books fresh, his characters multi-dimensional, and the action realistic. His main character, the Lincoln Lawyer, is an unusual mix of macho bravado and female sensitivity and intuition - making for an all-time good read.
