Grace Slick did a bad job of being a stand up comedian during this performance. Her singing was marginal at best. The guy playing the violin was absolutely awful. The sound quality of the disc itself is very good considering it was a live recording from 1975 The guitar player was also very good (Paul Kanter ?)
Pardon the profanity on this one. Maybe these books and books on cd should have "R" ratings. Adam's story is rather humorous and in some cases easy to relate to. It's like listening to a comedy album. If you are feeling down, try this medicine.
Wow ! I thought this was going to be a Paul Ryan inspired primer on economics. It turns out our problems are more than economic. Joel Rosenberg digs deep into the deteriorating moral fabric of our nation encouraging us to straighten up and fly right. His historical analysis of the past "great awakenings" is something I knew nothing about prior. Overall quite an eye opener of a book. Worth checking out from the best 5 star library in the land.
Just heard from this album/cd on WXRT's Blues Breakers radio show Monday nights. Robert Cray sounds great. Can't wait to hear the rest of this album. Have you ever heard his cd Sweet Potato Pie ? It's great also.
