Participate in the Federal Reserve Money Smart Week

Every year the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago organizes a week devoted to financial literacy. This year Money Smart Week begins April 17th, and the Library is proud to be a Money Smart partner. The following programs will be offered by the Library:

How to Write a Business Plan
Monday, April 19, 7 p.m.  in the Business Center at the Library
Shelley Hoyt Anderson, an economic educator with the University of Illinois Extension will give an overview of how to write a business plan. Ms. Hoyt Anderson, a Wharton MBA, strives to show entrepreneurs "how to" fundamentals so that they can successfully compete in the local markets and contribute to our economy. Register

Protect Your Identity and Your Money
Thursday, April 22, 1 p.m. at the Senior Center
Kathy Reuter, an educator from the University of Illinois Extension will give tips on steps you can take to protect your hard-earned money. Ms. Reuter received the 2007 Distinguished Service Award from the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. She has 35 years of experience as a professional in family and consumer services.  No registration.
