Shannon is the former program coordinator for the Public Library Association and has worked in public libraries for over 10 years. Her background includes adult library programming, interlibrary loan services, and technology training, but she currently specializes in assisting small businesses, entrepreneurs and career seekers with using the library’s resources. Shannon frequently presents on utilizing social media and technology and is active with the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce and local business and career networking groups. She earned an MLIS from Dominican University.

With 15 years of experience, Julie is no stranger to the unique world of the small business owner. She established her husband’s landscaping and home improvement business as an S-Corporation and maintained all of the bookkeeping, payroll, marketing, and communications for 12 years. Then as a self-taught professional photographer, she wore every hat of the entrepreneur in her own lifestyle family photography business for four successful years. Julie loves passing on all that she’s learned to small business owners in the community, from finding your target markets with social media and database lists to organizing your next steps for your business.
