Are you outgoing and welcoming? Do you enjoy playing host to large groups of people? Then please consider volunteering as a Volunteer in Programming (VIP). A VIP is an enthusiastic and friendly volunteer that is eager to serve as a library ambassador at our adult programming.
The Library offers approximately eight programs per month, most of which are in the evening or on weekends. Author visits, cooking demonstrations, art lectures, health presentations, musical concerts, gardening lectures and travelogues are some of the typical types of programs offered.
Volunteers assist with program set-up, greet customers, answer directional questions, and assist the presenter as needed. We are looking for people with excellent public relations skills who can pay attention to detail while being flexible. Volunteers are asked to work once or twice a month, generally in the evening or on weekends.
