In the late 70's I went to Willow Creek Community Church. So when this book came a long I wanted to know how Mr. Haw went from this church back to the Catholic Faith? I will admit that I was not familiar with Catholicism , so this book was an education into this particular faith.
This book, or should I say an essay. Is about one man's journey into rediscovering Catholicism. Starting from, as a teenager to an adult. This book is not a slam on either faith, it is a book which explains the faiths difference, not in much in detail, but in a way that the reader will understand. This book was not a easy read for me,partly because, as I said before, I was not brought up a Catholic. It is still not an easy read. The book is well documented, with lengthy discriptions in the notes section. It is very hard for me to discribe this book. I enjoy hearing about other peoples journey of dicovery. If you practice Catholicism, I really recommend reading this book. Mr. Haw takes on a different way of looking at Catholicism. A suggestion, read the Afterwords in the back of the book, It will give you an idea about this book. I am very glad I read this book. He also co-authored another book called Jesus For President(firist book)Which I will read.
