To receive library services, schools must either be located in Arlington Heights, or the students who live in Arlington Heights must make up at least 45% of the student body.

Assignment Alert
Teachers, use this form to alert Kids' World staff to upcoming projects
and assignments. This helps us locate materials and resources for your
students.

K-8 Book Bags
Book bags contain approximately 20 items, including books and AV materials. Bags are checked out for four weeks. Classroom teachers may request up to one bag per month. In the request, teachers may specify grade level and subjects of interest.

Enrichment Cases
Provided for use in Social Studies and history, each case contains books, posters, pamphlets, and actual objects or models from American history that children may handle and enjoy. Topics include the American Revolutionary and Colonial periods, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Illinois, Chicago and Arlington Heights. Cases are checked out for 4 weeks. Check our catalog for availability or to place a hold.

K-8 School Class Library Tours and Library Research Visits
Teachers of all grade levels are encouraged to bring their classes to the libraryfor a visit during the school year. Visits may include a tour of Kids' World with book talks or a short storytime, time for students to work on a specific assignment as suggested by the classroom teacher, or just time to choose books they'll enjoy reading.

Visits to Schools
We are available to visit schools to talk to students about the Library, to give booktalks, or to offer special presentations, such as information about libraryresources to help with the Science Fair, Summer Reading promotion, or PTA 'Mini-Courses.'
