Chicago Wolves Reading Program

The Chicago Wolves and Fisher Nuts are sponsoring the Read to Succeed program. Register at the Kids' World Desk and pick up a reading log and Chicago Wolves bookmark. When you have completed your reading, you will receive a prize, and your name will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win Chicago Wolves merchandise. For children from infancy through grade 8

Meet Children's Author Patricia Polacco

Patricia Polacco, the award-winning author and illustrator of 40 books for children including The Keeping Quilt, Just Plain Fancy, and John Philip Duck, is coming to the Library. She will talk about her many picture books, why she became an author, and what inspires her as a writer. Some of her books will be available for purchase. Charlotte's Web Book Discussion

A.H. cardholders are invited to sign up for a discussion of E.B. White's classic children's book, Charlotte's Web, to be held on Monday, March 28, from 2-3:15 p.m. in the Lindsey Room. Pajama Storytime

Meet Chicago Wolves Player Cory Larose

Learn about the Chicago Wolves hockey team and meet center Cory Larose as part of the Read to Succeed reading program sponsored by the Chicago Wolves and Fisher Nuts. One lucky fan will get to dress up in Chicago Wolves hockey gear, and Larose will talk about his team and sign autographs. There's no registration. For hockey fans of all ages.
