The school outreach services described below are available to all preschools and elementary/middle schools located in Arlington Heights. Additionally, schools where Arlington Heights students make up at least 45% of the student body are also served by the library.
Your class will enjoy a guided tour of Kids' World followed by storytime.
Elementary and Middle School Classes
Introduce your class to the library. If you working on a special unit and would like the tour to include this emphasis, we'll be happy to do so.
High School Classes
Please contact Teen Services for High School Class visits.
Preschool and Daycare Facilities
We will visit you and provide storytimes. You may also request a bookmobile visit.
We will provide books, music and activity programs for your Kindergarten class. Choose from several curriculum-related presentations.
Elementary School Classes Grades 1-5
We will provide a book-related interactive program different for each grade.
Especially for Grade 2
The bookmobile will visit your school. The bookmobile makes time in its busy schedule so that 2nd grade classes can come aboard and check out materials.
Elementary and Middle School Classes Grades 1-7
We will visit your class and provide booktalks.
- We can create reading lists for your students.
- We can set aside books on specific subjects for use in the library only.
- We can keep a file copy of your current reading lists and home work assignments. This helps us help your students. Email the list as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax (847-506-2675).
