Tomatoes and peppers and zucchini, oh my! Are you interested in food quality, sustainability and ‘going local’? Join us for a workshop that outlines the latest techniques for successful, productive gardening. A team of Master Gardeners from the University of Illinois Extension Service will guide you through the decision-making process including identifying the best location and garden style, choosing which crops to plant, and techniques to minimize labor while maximizing yields. A list of resources and a materials kit/planning worksheet will be provided. Participants can sign up for a free, private consultation with a Master Gardener to review their proposed layout and plans. These appointments will be conducted at the Library through the end of May. Cosponsored by the Arlington Heights Garden Club.
