Check out a Kill-A-Watt Meter

EGreenDonation

If you are looking for ways to cut your energy costs, come to the Library and check out a Kill-A-Watt energy meter. We have four meters donated by Commonwealth Edison and local citizen Chuck Kulig, president of the nonprofit organization Get to Work America (shown above with Library Executive Director Paula Moore).

Plug your appliance into the Kill-A-Watt meter, and it will measure energy consumption by the kilowatt hour, like the utility company.  Ask for one at the Welcome Desk. The meters can be checked out for two weeks.
