AHML is one of 60 libraries in Illinois selected as a pilot site for “Go Green @ Your Library,” a state-wide, collaborative project with the Illinois Library Association and the Field Museum in Chicago facilitated by funding from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. The Library’s theme, “Village Voices - Green Choices” will highlight a variety of programs that will educate and inspire our community to “rethink green.”
To kick off our green initiative, we are starting a new monthly discussion group, “Reading Green.” Each discussion will relate to the themes and concepts in a specific book. Attendees do not need to have read the book in order to participate. Register online
