MangoLogoNeed to learn a language for your upcoming vacation or business trip? Try our newest language database, Mango. It offers nine languages: Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian and Spanish. In addition, it has three ESL programs for Polish, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese speakers. This new language learning program replaces the Rosetta Stone series which is no longer available to libraries. It includes 100 lessons that focus on conversation to help you learn the language. You can use it from home or at the Library. You will need an A.H. library card to use it from home.

You and your little one can have fun with languages using Little Pim. Brought to you by the creators of Mango, this online resource for babies, toddlers and preschoolers introduces simple words and phrases for everyday activities in different languages. Using animation and real kids, it helps children learn words in Russian, German, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Hebrew, English, Spanish and French. Try it with your little one!
