Or maybe you just want to learn how to play the guitar. Our Learn4Life online classes can help you do all of this and more for free.These six-week classes are instructor-led with assignments, tests and discussions for subjects ranging from certificate health programs to college prep to tech topics. Need to learn a new language? Want to refresh the language skills you already have? The library is pleased to now offer A.H. cardholders access to Pronunciator, a new tool for learning languages. With 80 foreign languages to choose from, Pronunciator offers users a full range of services, including interactive language lessons, virtual conversations, quizzes, downloadable MP3s and an available app. It also offers a large ESL curriculum in 50 different languages to help learn and improve English language skills.  Learn more

supplementsConsumer Lab is a new database that you can use to evaluate vitamins, herbs, and supplements that are not regularly tested by government organizations. In addition to product reviews, Consumer Lab contains the Natural and Alternative Treatments encyclopedia as well as announcements about product recalls and warnings. Use Consumer Lab to learn about everything from nutrition bars to Omega-3 fatty acids, multivitamins, memory enhancers, and more. Consumer Lab is available on our Research page; either click on View Databases by Subject and select Health and Medical, or click on View Databases A-Z.

Just added to the Library's business databases, Plunkett Research provides a wealth of information about industry trends and statistics for a wide variety of industries from advertising to wireless communications. In addition Plunkett profiles thousands of industry-leading companies, spanning both publicĀ and privately held firms. It features information about industry associations and organizations, too. Plunkett is an excellent tool for job seekers, investors, students, market researchers and others. Plunkett Research is available through our web site under research. Click on databases by subject, then business. You need to be an A.H. cardholder to use it outside of the Library.
