The beginning of the arena rock era for The Kinks

After an early career with power singles, then a three year period where they were banned from working in America and released British based records that took them through the end of the 1960's, The Kinks then signed with RCA Records in 1971 and released a series of concept albums. By 1977, that contract was up, and the Kinks signed with Arista Records and released this album. It's not a concept album, just a collection of great rock and roll songs, as requested by Arista president Clive Davis. Head Kink and songwriter Ray Davies put the concept projects away and delivered one of the finest rock albums the Kinks ever released. The hits here are: Sleepwalker and Juke Box Music, but every cut is a key album track. This album launched a second major successful period for the Kinks with the band selling out arenas worldwide.
An essential, must have Kinks album
