Beauty, darkenss, coping, and the native american experience

Wind River is a uniformly sad, intermittently violent, extremely well acted, and beautifully photographed film overlayed upon a backdrop of native american issues and the hard scrabble life of remote America. There are no boring parts, the characters are well developed, with lessons on coping rather than hope. I enjoyed the movie immensely.
