NOTES

Four Bay Area couples have themselves into a paid counseling program for research purposes. Each participant has his and her own reasons as to why they would subject their private lives and secrets to be dissected in a group setting. The principles behind 'The study' have an agenda, they want to play a game. You probably wouldn't answer a posting you'd found on the bulletin board at the local coffee shop. Sure you saw the bright orange flyer that demanded attention. It stood out from all the others, begging you to take it down, take it home and call. Of course you're not the type of person who'd volunteer yourself and your significant other to participate in a paid study. One hundred per person, per session. Let's just say you took down the flyer, maybe even made the call and filled out the questionnaire. Now, for whatever reason you decided to commit to doing this so-called study, and you and your significant other have signed an agreement to make yourselves available for once a week for two hours. Not bad, not bad, it's doable. Surely an inquisitive person such as yourself must see what's coming, right?
