While Cone doesn't fit in with his company's Wall Street image - he's shy, a sloppy dresser, and lives in a decrepit loft - he's a dogged detective. Cone expects the worst of most people. The exception is Samantha Whatley, his tough-talking office manager and secret lover. Samantha helps him sift through the evidence, and Cone is suddenly up to his neck in bribery, corruption, drugs, and murder.
